Though Revenue Department’s main function is management of land & land records ,it has to look after many socio - economic programmes of the Government and the department has to heed to the day to day problems  both of  individuals as well as the society.

    People approach various offices of the Revenue Department with many of their problems either individual  in nature or relating to the society at large and urge for the redressal of the same.

Some of the examples are given below, which the Revenue Department comes across in its day  to day administration.

 

Q.  Who is day to day administation competent to sanction OHP/PHP/DWP and what is the procedure?
A.  The Tahsildar and Deputy Tahsildar of Nad Kachery are the sanctioning authority. The applicant has to apply for sanction of pension in the prescribed Form, which are available in these offices

Q.  To whom one should approach for Issue of Ration card?
A.  In the Rural area the Tahasildar and in the District places Informal Rationing Officer is the issuing authority of Ration Cards.

Q.  To whom one should approach for issue Of Income/Cast /Domicile Certificate/Surviving Family Members Certificate?
A.  The Tahasildar is the issuing authority of these certificates. The applicant has to apply for the said certificates in the prescribed Form which are available in the Tahasildar’s Office

Q.  What is the Procedure of effecting changes in the Record of Rights?
A.  For other than Registered Documents, the applicant has to give application to the application Kiosk located in the Tahasildar’s office and has to wait for minium 30 days from the date of issue of Notice generated in “Bhoomi center” for the changes in the Record of Rights. Along with the application, the applicant has to pay Rs.35/- fees for each Survey No..

Q.  What is the Procedure of obtaining Record of Rights of Agriculture Lands?
A.  The applicant has to approach the “Kiosk Centers’’ of Tahasildar’s Office /Nad-Kachery. The applicant has to pay Rs.15/- for each R/R extract, (Computerized copy)

Q.  To whom one should approach for Sanction of Compensation under Scarcity/Flood.?
A.  The affected person has to apply to the Tahasildar for compensation, if not sanctioned by the authorities suo-moto.

Q.  What is the Procedure of Regularization of Un-authorized cultivation/Building under section 94-A, B,C, under the K.L.R.Act-1964?
A. 

The last date for submission application for regularization was as under:- U/s 94A was date 19-9-1991 U/s 94B was dated : 15-7-1999

Q.  What is the Procedure of Regularization of encroachments on Forest Lands?
A.  There was provision for regularization of encroachments on Forest Lands prior to 27-4-1978 only.

Q.  What is the Procedure of conversion of Agriculture Land to Non-agricultural purpose U/s 95 of KLR Act-1964?
A.  The applicant has to submit application to the Deputy Commissioner in the prescribed Form. He has to wait for 120 days from the date of Receipt of application by the Deputy Commissioner.

Q.  What is the Procedure of effecting phodi?
A.  Now the Government has introduced new procedure of “Integrated Mutation" under Bhoomi wherein Pot-hissa (Phodi) is done along with Mutation Entry automatically in the Record of rights.

Q.  What is the Procedure of preferring of Appeal to the concerned Authorities, Under various Acts?
A. 

The aggrieved party may prefer an Appeal against the Order to the Applate Authority, for which the following are to be complied.He has to file appeal petition. He has to pay appeal fee process fee etc., He has to enclose certified copy of the Order under appeal. He has to enclose application for condontation of delay with affidavit if any, Stay application if requested.

Q.  Who is the appellate authority against the order of District Register under the Karnataka Stamp Act-1957?
A. 

APPEAL POWERS OF THE REGIONAL COMMISSINER (Sec.45A (5)) Any person aggrieved by the Order of the Dist. Register under sub-sec. (2) or (3) may prefer an appeal to the Regional Commissioner under this Section.

      

Q.  What are the Revisional power of the Regional Commissioner under the Karnataka Municipalities Act- 1964,?
A. 

REVISIONAL POWERS OF THE REGIONAL COMMISSINER. Under this section the Regional Commissioner may call for and examine the Records of any subordinate Officer and pass such Orders deemed fit.

   

Q.  What are the Revisional Powers of Regional Commissioner under Karnataka Land Reforms ACT, 1961/74?
A. 

REVISIONAL POWERS OF THE REGIONAL COMMISSINER (Sec.118 – A). Under this section the Regional Commissioner may call for and examine the records of any order passed by the Asst. Commissioner against which no appeal lies or of any order passed and may pass such orders as he think fit.

Q.  What is the procedure of appointment under compationate Ground?
A.  The appointments are governed by the K.C.S. (Appointment on compationate Grounds) Rules, 1996. The dependent of the deceased Govt. servant has to make an application within 1 year from the date of death of Govt. servant to the head of the office under whom the deceased Govt. servant was working. Appointments are subject to other conditions specified in Rule 4,5 and 6 of the said Rules.

Q.  What is the Application procedure for requesting information under Right to information Act. ?
A.  Any person desires of obtaining information under sub section (1) of sec. 6 of the Act, shall make an application in form ‘A’ or in any format along with initial fee of Rs. 10/- by cash/I.P.O. to the Public Information Officer of office concerned. 

Q.  What is the time limit to get the information  under Right to Information Act?
A.  Within 30 days from the date of application
